Dominica

For the first time, seeds of the "Bonda Mama Jack" were multiplied and certified by CARDI Barbados. The seeds were initially sent to Barbados, where a first batch of 2.5kg of certified seed was produced. One and a half kilograms (1.5kg) were returned to the MOA in Dominica. The seeds will be validated by CARDI. The MOA is entering into a Memorandum of Understanding with CARDI, which would allow the MOA to have sole rights to the seed material for at least 2 years.
