the then production practices were about 7,000 kg/ha. CARDI set
a target of increasing this to 12,000 kg/ha over a 5-year period,
with a combination of improved seed quality, plant nutrition, spacing,

by Phytophtora spp., Sclerotium spp. and Rhizoctonia spp.Control

fruit.Maintenance of relative freedom from viruses-the two most
important are pepper variants of the Tobacco Mosaic Virus (Tobamo
viruses) and of Potato Virus Y (Poty viruses). |
