This represents the first collection of website listings developed by the staff of CARDI’S Information Centre. As an on-going exercise begun in the latter quarter of 1998, it remains available to staff electronically and will continue to be updated regularly. The base information for this document was obtained from the vast number of websites available on the Internet. Selected sites were verified and the text describing entries was adapted and edited. Entries were reorganized into categories relative to research, management, training, information, and the trade and industry aspects of agriculture.
CAIS is a regional network being developed for cooperation in collecting, organizing, exchanging and disseminating information relevant to the development of the agricultural sector. At this preliminary stage, a number of activities of CAIS are being supported by the Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA) as part of its mandate to strengthen ACP capacity to manage information and communication, and improve access to information on agricultural and rural development. We would appreciate any comments and suggestions from users of this publication.
