- CARDI Information Centre: Plant Genetic Resources
The Caribbean Agricultural Research and Development Institute (CARDI),
has a mandate to support the research and development efforts of the Caribbean
Region. As part of the mechanism to deliver the output of these programmes,
CARDI collects and organizes a selection of documents on key topics of
interest from the Caribbean and wider afield. The CARDI bibliographic
database is a record of a significant part of that collection and currently
lists over 10,000 records on a variety of agricultural related topics.
With this series of Select Bibliographies, we have another opportunity
to share this bibliographic information.
The themes selected for the series were influenced by consultation with
members of the research networks in PROCICARIBE and their request for
information on technical materials available in their respective subject
areas.
This title A Select Bibliography of Plant Genetic Resources Literature at the
CARDI Information Centre, lists a number of articles on various aspects
of plant genetic resources and may be used as a resource in locating information
on plant genetics and related topics.
We trust that you will find this bibliography useful. We especially invite
you to continue to send copies of Caribbean materials (published and unpublished)
to the Information Centre for inclusion in the database.
The financial support of the ACP EU (CTA) towards the compilation of
the information, purchase of documents, cataloguing and classification,
data entry, as well as printing and publication and distribution of this
material is gratefully acknowledged.
