Tapia, A.C. et al. 1990. Study of the susceptibility to black Sigatoka in micropropagated plants of Musa cv. False Horn AAB. TURRIALBA v. 40(2) p. 147-151.

The Foure scale was used to evaluate the effect of black sigatoka on in vitro plants of Musa cultivar 'False Horn' (AAB), derived from five subcultures. The study of the incubation and evolution phases of the disease showed significant differences for the first generation throughout the evolutionary period. This period was longer for materials that subdivided more than twice. No significant differences were observed in the second generation. Analysis of the results showed good performance and yield of the materials under study, as well as considerable resistance to the disease. (02020)
