The fecundity of A. gossypii on severed leaves of eighth plants was studies under laboratory conditions. Significantly more were produced on okra an cotton than on any of the other hosts used in the study. This appeared to confirm observations in the field. (01821)

This wild weed is grown on drainage channels and in the fields of winter crops. This is the first work in Egypt with Tephrosia. (01829)
